[ad_1]
Beyoncé released a new video for her Lemonade headline, “Freedom” yesterday in honor of the International Day of the Girl. Girls all over the world are syncing and dancing to the song in the fiercest and loudest way possible (a la Queen Bey).
As they perform, statistics on violence against girls and calls for freedom appear around them. âEnd all forms of violence against girls. Put all the girls in school. End the AIDS epidemic. End child marriage, âone section reads. âGirls all over the world are fighting for their freedom every day. Join them,â a message reads at the end of the video.
“Today is #DayoftheGirl. Girls around the world are fighting for their freedom every day,” Bey wrote in the caption of the video. on Facebook. “Join me, Chime for Change and The Global Goals in taking action for #FreedomforGirls now.”
The clip was produced in partnership with Make noise for change, a fundraising and awareness campaign for women and girls around the world, and Global Goals, which addresses issues such as poverty, hunger and education. The video is the latest of Beyoncé’s charitable acts, following her remix of “Mi Gente”, the proceeds of which will go to victims of hurricanes and earthquakes in Mexico, Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands.
