Three-day Freedom Music Fest kicks off at the Liberation War Museum

The very first fundraising concert for the establishment of the permanent fund of the Liberation War Museum of Agargaon in the capital began on Thursday.
The three-day concert, titled “Freedom Music Fest”, aims to create a permanent fund for the museum, which was built with a donation from local Bangladeshis.
Organizers said the festival also marks the centenary of the birth of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Maqsood O ‘Dhaka, led by Bangladeshi band icon Maqsoodul Haque, coordinates the festival. The bKash mobile financial service is the digital partner of the fundraising business.
A total of 20 popular groups nationwide including Bangla Five Band, AbantiSithi, MADOL, GaanKobi, Nemesis, NOVA, Meghdol, Sacrament, Chitkar, Shahed O ‘Gaatch, Obscure, Renaissance, Shovvota & The Band, Sorol, Baul Xpress, Reshmi O Mati, Sahajia, Avash, Warfaze, and Maqsood O ‘Dhaka participate in the concert at the open-air theater and main auditorium of the Liberation War Museum.
The music festival is open to everyone and fans can use the bKash app to purchase exterior tickets for Tk 300 and interior tickets for Tk 1,000 each. In addition, interested donors can donate a minimum amount of Tk 100 to Tk maximum 10,000 directly to the museum fund using the app.
On the first day, Bangla Five Band, AbantiSithi, MADOL, GaanKobi, Nemesis and NOVA performed at the Open Air Theater from 2pm to 6pm.
Nemesis and NOVA then captivated the audience in the indoor auditorium from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Meghdol, Sacrament, Chitkar, Shahed O’Gaatch, Obscure and Renaissance are due to perform on Friday.
The festival will end on Saturday.
